Artist

This web site is dedicated to my family.
To Bill, who humored me for years in my bead frenzy.
To the boys, for their willingness to ooh and aah over my beads each day.
To Aaron, for making this web site possible.

May 26. Welcome to my revised new site. On this page you'll find ordering information, a list of the monthly specials, and my philosophy on beads.  I'd like a great show on the west coast and another on the east coast...if you have an idea for me, send me an email!

The first to order a piece by phone or dated email will get it, and the product will subsequently be removed from the queue. If you wish to receive my newsletter, only available now in e-zine format, please email me! It will continue to include articles about my zany adventures as well as news about upcoming shows, invitations to my yearly open house extravaganza, etc.

About the artist:  For those who are just meeting me, I am Saralee Rhoads.  I live with my husband, Bill, in rural Missouri, about an hour outside of Kansas City, Missouri.  I used to live such a noble life...I was a surgical nurse, caring for the sick...and now, well, I love just making beads!  It's not so noble, but it is oh so fun!  I do have two other businesses: I am a travel agent and I also am an independent contractor for medical record transcription.  However, I do ship on Fridays, so you will definitely get your order in a timely fashion.  Beads are my first love, and everything else takes a back seat when it comes to beads.

Here's a date I remember--May 22, 1998. I made my first glass bead, and became forever addicted to molten glass. Something magical occurs between the hissing of the torch and the melting of the glass, something that speaks to my soul and gets translated onto stainless steel mandrels in the form of beads.  My beads are all kiln annealed, and guaranteed for life. My jewelry is personally designed and one-of-a-kind. I never factory assemble two of any piece, and popular designs are replicated by memory with differences making each unique. If you need beads, want to assure yourself that a particular piece is sterling silver only, or merely want a piece replicated in different colors, don't hesitate to write me. There is no additional charge for special orders.

Thanks for exploring my web page. I hope to be of service to you.
